Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and provide information to site operators.
In addition to traditional HTTP cookies (set and read by the server), modern browsers support localStorage and sessionStorage — client-side key-value stores that websites can use to persist information in your browser without sending it to the server. PacificMountain uses localStorage rather than HTTP cookies for its own platform functionality.
PacificMountain uses essential localStorage items only. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking storage. The following table describes every item we write to your browser:
We do not use analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use social-media pixels or any third-party tracking technology operated by us.
To render the Platform interface, we load static assets from the following external CDNs. These CDNs serve files (CSS, fonts, icons) directly to your browser. Their servers may log your IP address as part of normal HTTP request processing, and they may set their own cookies or storage items. We do not control their behaviour; the relevant privacy policies are linked below.
We recommend reviewing each provider's privacy policy if you have concerns about CDN-level data processing. None of these CDNs receive any personal information from us, nor do they act as our data processors for user profiling purposes.
You can control, limit, or delete cookies and localStorage data at any time through your browser settings. The steps vary by browser:
Clearing site data will delete the sx_age_ok, sx_ck_ok, and sx_ck_no localStorage items. The age gate and cookie consent banner will reappear on your next visit. Your virtual credit balance will also be reset.
You can also use browser developer tools (F12 → Application → Local Storage) to view and manually delete individual keys set by this platform.
Note: blocking or deleting essential localStorage items may cause parts of the Platform to behave unexpectedly (for example, the age gate reappearing on every page load).
When you first visit PacificMountain, a cookie consent banner is displayed at the bottom of the page. It informs you that we use essential localStorage and links to this Cookie Policy.
sx_ck_ok = '1' in localStorage and dismisses the banner. No change in platform functionality; we already use only essential storage.sx_ck_no = '1' in localStorage and dismisses the banner. The Platform continues to function; the age gate preference may still be stored if you confirm your age, as this is strictly necessary for access control. The banner does not reappear once either choice has been made, unless you clear your localStorage.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we change our CDN providers or introduce new platform features. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
